He also explains the three main reasons he invests in gold: (1) gold is insurance against catastrophe in an increasingly fragile world (2) real interest rates throughout the developed world are sharply negative and (3) massive deficit spending and money printing throughout the world will continue to erode the value of fiat currencies.
